Keunhan (Kay) Park earned his BS and MS degrees in mechanical engineering at Seoul National University in 1997 and 1999, respectively, and achieved his PhD in mechanical engineering at the Georgia Institute of Technology in 2007. Before starting his PhD study, he worked as a full-time lecturer at the Republic of Korea Naval Academy for three years. During 2007-2008, he was in the Beckman Institute for Advanced Science and Technology at the University of Ilinois at Urbana-Champaign as a postdoc. From 2008-2013 he held an assistant professor position in the Department of Mechanical, Industrial and Systems Engineering at the University of Rhode Island. He is currently an associate professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Utah. His research interests are in tip-based thermal science and engineering, optothermofluidics, novel micro/nanoscale sensors and instrumentation, and fundamental understanding of phonon-, photon-, and electron-coupled energy transport at the micro/nanoscale.
